Veteran Legacy Housing Protection Workshop

Free housing-support education for veterans, surviving spouses, and military families.

As America reflects on 250 years of independence, Legacy APN is building a free community education workshop to help veterans and military families protect housing stability, understand available support pathways, organize important documents, and connect with trusted VA, HUD, housing, legal, and nonprofit partners.

Workshop date, location, and partner agencies coming soon.

Why This Matters

Protect the Home. Preserve the Legacy. Honor the Service.

For many veterans and military families, housing pressure can show up quietly through missed mortgage payments, foreclosure notices, tax sale risk, deed confusion, rent instability, accessibility needs, or uncertainty about where to turn first. The workshop is designed to help families get information earlier, prepare documents, understand risk, and reach the right support door before a housing problem becomes a permanent loss.

Workshop Topics

What the workshop will cover

VA Mortgage Help & Foreclosure Avoidance

Education around VA counseling, repayment plans, special forbearance, loan modification, VA Partial Claim awareness, short sale, deed in lieu, and other foreclosure-avoidance pathways.

Home Modification & Accessibility Grants

Information about HISA, SAH, SHA, and TRA resources that may help eligible veterans with medically necessary improvements, accessibility modifications, or home adaptation support.

Housing Stability & Homelessness Prevention

Awareness around HUD-VASH, SSVF, Grant and Per Diem programs, rapid rehousing, case management, rental assistance pathways, and local housing-stability partners.

Additional Veteran Housing Resources

Connections to financial and credit counseling resources, Native American Direct Loan awareness, housing counseling, legal aid, veteran-service organizations, and local partner agencies.

Legacy APN Property-Risk Education

Support with document readiness, deed and notice review, tax-sale awareness, mortgage-risk review, intake support, referral navigation, and follow-up tracking.

Community Partner Coordination

A place for local agencies, nonprofits, housing counselors, legal aid groups, veteran-service organizations, landlords, sponsors, and community leaders to express interest in supporting a future workshop.

How Legacy APN Helps

What Legacy APN Provides

  • Property risk education
  • Intake support and document readiness
  • Deed, tax sale, notice, and mortgage-risk awareness
  • Referral navigation to VA and community partners
  • Workshop follow-up and community support
  • Partner coordination and impact tracking
Impact Tracking

How We Track Families Served

Legacy APN will use a structured intake and follow-up system so every inquiry, attendee, household, referral, and outcome is tracked responsibly.

  • Every attendee or inquiry completes an intake form
  • Each household receives a Legacy APN contact record
  • Follow-up calls, referrals, and outcomes are logged in the database
  • This helps track families served, services delivered, partner referrals, and community impact

A website sign-up is an inquiry. A family is counted as served after a meaningful touchpoint such as workshop attendance, intake, document review, referral navigation, follow-up, or documented guidance.

Interest List

Join the Interest List

Veterans, surviving spouses, military families, homeowners, renters, community partners, volunteers, and sponsors are welcome to join the early interest list.

Legacy APN will follow up as workshop dates, locations, and partner agencies are confirmed.

Partners & Sponsors

Are You a Community Partner or Sponsor?

Legacy APN is inviting qualified veteran-service organizations, housing agencies, legal aid groups, HUD-approved housing counselors, public housing partners, nonprofit providers, churches, landlords, sponsors, and community leaders to help build a trusted workshop ecosystem.
